State/Local
Contacts
Where to report fraudulent
activity, and check out your
broker
If you are having
any problems with a broker, or if you would like more
information on a company before investing, the Secretary of
State that the company is incorporated in can be a great
resource. Companies are required to file certain documents with
the local Secretary, that may not make it to the SEC's website.
While none of the
stocks that we profile are 'questionable', if you are looking at
a small company or own a stock and are concerned, or cannot find
much information about a company you are interested in, the
Secretary of State's office can provide a wealth of information
including the company's makeup and list of officers.
The links below will
bring you to that States' office.
